A man is in custody in Rhode Island after allegedly kidnapping his child from a Canton, Massachusetts, daycare facility.
The 18-month-old child is safe, according to WCVB.
The man, the child’s father, allegedly took his son from a daycare center on Wellness Way in Canton called Empower, Canton Police Chief Helena Rafferty told WCVB. It remains unclear how the father was able to gain access to his child, according to the news report.
The police chief also confirmed to WCVB that they were searching for a man named Nathan Dorosario and his son, also with the same name. The child and his mother both have a restraining order against Dorosario, according to police. He was believed to be driving a brown Chevrolet Equinox, according to the news report.
Dorosario was in custody in Pawtucket, according to reports, after being arrested Thursday night.
Upon locating the older Nathan Dorosario, the younger was taken from his arms and put into an ambulance, according to WHDH.
