A New Jersey motorcyclist struck a moose in northern Maine on Monday, and both he and the animal died as a result of the collision, according to State Police.
Anand Sreedharan, 50, of Princeton, was ejected during the crash, which occurred at about 7 p.m. in the T2 R9 township in Piscataquis County. He “ultimately succumbed to his injuries,” police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
