Three people were injured after a car drove into a restaurant in downtown Boston on Friday afternoon, the Boston Police Department said.
The crash happened at the intersection of Stuart and Tremont Streets, the location of sushi restaurant Genki Ya, according to BPD.
First responders took the car driver and one pedestrian to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, police said. One other victim was treated on the scene.
Genki Ya is closed until “all the damages are repaired,” a pre-recorded voicemail from the restaurant said. The message said the crash caused “significant damage” to the restaurant’s front entrance and walls. Photos from the scene show cracked tiles and debris around the front door of the establishment.
Police did not say if they were planning to make any arrests. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, BPD said.
