Authorities identify husband and wife dead in Milford stabbing
Police have said they believe the incident was one of domestic violence.
The woman stabbed in what police have said they believe was an incident of domestic violence in Milford last week has died, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s office.
The DA’s office on Monday identified the woman as Maria Tereza Mayancela Loja, 32, of Milford. Her husband, 34-year-old Luis Osvaldo Guaman Loja of Milford, died Sept. 16.
Milford police responded to 80 South Bow Street around 9 a.m. on Sept. 16 where they found the couple in their apartment. The 32-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Her husband was found in the basement suffering from a single stab wound to the chest and pronounced dead at the scene.
Last week, police said there was no threat to the public and that investigators believed “all parties involved are accounted for.” Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said during a press conference that investigators did not yet have enough information to say who was the perpetrator in the incident, which was believed to be one of domestic violence.
The couple’s four children — aged 5, 7, 10, and 14 — were at school at the time of the incident, authorities said.
