Dartmouth man faces murder charge after fatal stabbing in New Bedford

The victim, 31-year-old Kerri Fidalgo, was rushed to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to the District Attorney.

A Dartmouth man was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal New Bedford stabbing, according to officials.

Tyler Dow Baglini, 31, of Dartmouth, was charged with murder, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office. 

Officers arrived at 86 Atlantic St. in New Bedford around 4:52 p.m. Friday, and found a woman suffering from apparent stab wounds, according to police.

The victim, 31-year-old Kerri Fidalgo, was rushed to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to the District Attorney.

Officials said Baglini was taken into custody shortly after the stabbing took place. He was held overnight at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford for psychiatric evaluation, according to the District Attorney.

He’s set to be arraigned on Monday morning in New Bedford District Court.
