A teenager died after crashing her car in the early morning hours on Saturday, according to Duxbury Police Chief Michael Carbone.
At around 1 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Harrison Street. Police found a teenager behind the wheel of the single-car crash. She was the only person in the car.
The medical examiner’s office notified Duxbury police on Monday that the teen had since died from her injuries.
Police believe that speed was a factor in the crash.
The teenager’s name was not released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Duxbury police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section.
