The body of an East Weymouth man was recovered from Newfound Lake in New Hampshire on Friday, police say.
At 11:09 a.m., a paddle boarder notified the New Hampshire State Police about a potential body observed in the water near Lakeside Road in Bristol, according to a statement from the New Hampshire State Police.
Authorities identified the man as John Quinlan, 77, of East Weymouth, the statement said.
The New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy on Monday, according to officials.
The New Hampshire State Police is still investigating the incident.
