A worker was injured Tuesday morning when he got stuck up to his waist in a coal-filled train car in Bridgewater.
Emergency personnel responded to the incident at Stiles & Hart Brick Co., 127 Cook St., at about 9:05 a.m. The man, a 26-year-old employee from Brockton, “needed immediate medical assistance,” local fire officials said.
Members of the Bridgewater Fire Department, Plymouth County Teach Rescue Team, and Mike Flaherty of APC Corporation then extricated him using “industrial vacuum equipment,” officials said.
The man was flown in a medical helicopter to a Boston hospital with undisclosed injuries. His current condition wasn’t known, officials said.
