A 62-year-old man died after a tree fell on him while he was operating a skid steer, pinning him underneath, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
At 1:14 p.m. on Saturday, Rockland Police Department received a 911 call from a neighbor on Central Street stating that Raffaele Bruzzese was operating a skid steer when a tree fell on him, entrapping him underneath.
Rockland police and fire responded to the scene and transported Bruzzese to South Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
Rockland police contacted the district attorney’s office detective unit to begin an investigation. The district attorney’s office says the investigation is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected.
