A 20-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving drunk and traveling 125 mph on Sunday night, police say.
At 11:47 p.m., a New Hampshire State Police trooper saw a 2017 Ford Fusion traveling at an “apparent high rate of speed,” according to a statement from the New Hampshire State Police.
The trooper, positioned along Interstate 95 in Greenland, initially found the vehicle’s speed to be 113 mph, the statement said.
The trooper then caught up with the vehicle as it continued southbound into Northampton, observing as the vehicle increased its speed to 125 mph and changed lanes, authorities said.
The trooper initiated a motor vehicle stop, identifying the driver as Tehya Patch, Farmington, police said.
Patch was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of liquor, driving under the influence of liquor, and reckless operation, officials said. She was released on personal recognizance bail pending an appearance in Hampton District Court on Sept. 12.
