Kayakers find body in Charles River
The investigation is ongoing.
Two kayakers reported seeing a body floating in the Charles River on Sunday morning, according to officials.
Massachusetts State Police said in a statement that troopers from the Boston Barracks and Marine Unit responded to the report under the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge on the Boston side.
The body of the unidentified man was taken into the custody of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who will conduct a death investigation.
State Police Crime Scene Services and the Suffolk County Detective Unit also responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
