Family IDs former Hudson fire chief as man who was pulled out of lake in Stow

The man, now identified by his family as Frederick Dusseault, 70, fell into Lake Boon around 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to WHDH.
The former fire chief and Vietnam veteran was pulled from the water by a bystander and emergency personnel and taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the news station.
His wife, mourning the loss of her husband, told 7News her neighbors called her to tell her she had to come home and something had happened.

“He wanted to help people, that’s what he wanted to do,” she said about her husband’s stint as fire chief, according to the news outlet.
He had advanced Parkinson’s disease, according to his wife, which could have contributed to the fall, the station reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
