A $15 million lottery win was claimed this week from a ticket sold at a convenience store in Lynn.
This prize was claimed by K&K Trust of Waltham, represented by trustee Leo Cushing, from the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “15,000,000 Money Maker” instant ticket game at One Stop Mart on Boston Street, according to the lottery’s website.
A post from the Massachusetts State Lottery on Instagram showed the $15 million win as well.
The trustee chose to receive the prize in cash — a one-time payment of $9.7 million before taxes. Cushing said the winner will use the funds to take care of their kids and family, according to Boston 25 News.
Other recent wins exceeding $1 million from the Massachusetts State Lottery include a $2.6 million payout from the $4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler game sold at Jay’s Wine & Spirit in New Bedford and a $1 million payout from a Powerball game sold at Quick Stop in Newton, according to the lottery’s website.
