A baby boy was found unresponsive in a vehicle Tuesday evening in Lexington and later pronounced dead at a hospital, officials said.
Lexington police said officers responded to a parking lot on Massachusetts Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, where they found the 1-year-old child.
The boy was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The department said the investigation is ongoing and released no other details about the baby’s death.
Police referred questions about the incident to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, which confirmed the ongoing investigation.
