Woman airlifted after crashing e-bike into parked car in Groveland

No one else was injured in the crash.

A 25-year-old woman was seriously injured and airlifted in a medical aircraft, following an electric bike crash on Sunday evening, authorities said.

The Groveland Police and Fire Departments responded to Main Street shortly after 8 p.m. where they found a woman suffering from serious injuries, according to a statement from the Groveland Police Department.

The victim was taken to a temporary landing zone in the Pines Recreation Area near the scene of the incident where she was then flown in a critical care medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center, the statement said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim was cycling when she struck an empty and parked motor vehicle, police said. No one else was injured.
