An online fundraiser is underway to help pay for the funeral expenses of a pregnant Lynn woman who was murdered in her home last week

Brianna Welsh, 25, was three months pregnant when she was found dead in her Lynn home on July 31, allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend’s brother, authorities said. Zachary Vozzella, 26, was arraigned last week on murder and assault charges in connection with her death.

In a statement on the GoFundMe page, Welsh’s family members said Welsh had been looking forward to finding out her baby’s gender the week she was killed.

“We are all lost without her,” they wrote. “She was a bright shining star, that went out before her time.”

All of the money raised, they said, will go toward funeral and memorial costs for the 25-year-old and her unborn child. As of Wednesday evening, more than $16,200 had been raised

Welsh was found dead in the home where she lived with her former boyfriend, 24-year-old Brendon Vozzella, after her mother requested Lynn police conduct a wellness check, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. According to court filings, Zachary Vozzella had been staying in the apartment with his brother and Welsh.

According to authorities, Brendon Vozzella was arrested on July 30 following a report of domestic violence, and prosecutors allege that Zachary Vozzella murdered Welsh while his brother was in police custody.
