Three individuals were taken to a local hospital following a boat crash in Boston Harbor on Tuesday morning, police said.
Around 10:15 a.m., officers assigned to the Harbor Unit responded to a report of a 25-foot boat that had crashed into the remains of the Long Island Bridge, which has been closed for years, Boston police Officer Michael Torigian told Boston.com.
Boston and Quincy officials have disputed over rebuilding a new bridge connecting Moon Island to Long Island and an addiction recovery center.
Three people involved in the crash were transported back to BPD docks, Torigian said, and taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
