A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in South Boston on Thursday, police said.
He was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries, a spokesperson for the Boston Police Department told Boston.com.
The incident happened at the intersection of West 4th and A Streets at 1:06 p.m., the spokesperson said. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
BPD Fatal Collision and Homicide teams responded to the scene, and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
