1 man hospitalized, another arrested in shooting near Jackson Square MBTA stop

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting on Monday afternoon near the Jackson Square MBTA station in Jamaica Plain, according to police.

Boston police said officers responded around 2:38 p.m. to a call reporting a person shot near 245 Centre St. The victim, an adult man, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

He was in critical condition as of Monday evening, according to police.

Police said a suspect in the shooting, an adult man, is in custody and that a gun was recovered from the scene.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, according to police.
