Police in Watertown seek driver in hit-and-run involving a dog

The incident happened on July 18 around 5:30 p.m. on Warren Street.

Watertown police are asking for the public’s help locating the driver of a vehicle who allegedly struck a dog and then fled the scene last week.

Police said the incident took place on July 18 around 5:30 p.m. The vehicle, described as a 4-door black sedan with distinct markings, was traveling east on Warren Street by King Street at the time of the crash. 

The car has headlights that span the front of the car, chrome side mirrors, and chrome outlining part of the side windows and rear windshield, police said.
