A head-on crash in Epping, New Hampshire, on Sunday left one driver dead and the other with serious injuries, police say.

At approximately 1 a.m., the Epping police and fire departments were dispatched to Route 125 at the Pondside Motel, according to a statement from the Epping Police Department.

Amanda Wager, 31, of New Boston, New Hampshire, was traveling southbound in a 2007 Nissan Frontier on Route 125 when she crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Jacob Wallingford, 24, of Rochester, New Hampshire, the statement said.

Wager passed away at the scene, and Wallingford was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious but nonlife-threatening injuries, authorities say.
