All service center and AAA appointments before noon on Friday were cancelled, the RMV announced.
The agency said that online credit card payments could not be processed, so paying for license renewals or other transactions was not possible online.
The RMV is not conducting any vehicle inspections Friday.
The RMV said it has a “limited capacity to accept phone calls,” so getting in touch with staff may be difficult.
Road tests are still being conducted. Suspension hearings are still being conducted by phone.
