A driver was medflighted and his two passengers were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Avon on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews received a report of the crash at about 3:30 p.m. in the area of Harrison Boulevard and Pond Street.
Avon fire and police departments responded to the collision, which was between a commercial vehicle and a minivan. The passenger vehicle sustained heavy damage, according to a statement from the departments.
All three males in the minivan were injured, and the driver was transported in a medical helicopter to a Rhode Island hospital from a landing point at Avon Middle-High School. Mutual aid responders brought the passengers to nearby hospitals in ambulances.
The driver and only occupant of the commercial vehicle was not injured.
The investigation of the incident by Avon police is ongoing.
