A 6-year-old boy was in critical condition Monday night after being ejected from his mother’s car during a collision in Carlisle.
At about 7:30 p.m., local police received several 911 calls regarding the crash. A witness reported seeing a vehicle traveling at a high speed at the intersection of North Road and Rutland Street moments before hearing the crash, according to a statement from Carlisle police.
Officers and firefighters treated everyone involved at the scene, while the young boy was transported in a medical aircraft to Children’s Hospital in Boston, police said.
The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
