A head-on crash in Groton Wednesday killed a 27-year-old motorcyclist from Ayer.
Shortly after 4 p.m., a driver was traveling westbound on Boston Road when she “veered” into the eastbound lane, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. Her vehicle then struck an oncoming motorcycle head on.
The motorcyclist, Cody Trudell, suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, authorities said. The vehicle’s driver, a 20-year-old Townsend woman, stayed at the scene after the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
