A man died while climbing in Leominster State Forest Thursday afternoon, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
His identity was not released to the public. The scene of the man’s death was in Westminster. State Police detectives are conducting an ongoing investigation.
Aerial footage taken by WCVB Thursday showed climbing gear that had been left at the base of a rock face. The forest is a popular destination for rock climbing.
