A 4-year-old Sutton girl died after going missing and being found unresponsive in a neighbor’s pool Thursday.
Sutton police received a report that the girl was missing at 3:50 p.m., according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
Just after 4:30 p.m., Sutton police said on Facebook that they were searching for an autistic girl named Eva. There was a heavy police presence in the area of Peachtree Drive.
A short time later, she was found unresponsive in the neighbor’s pool, officials said. Emergency personnel brought her to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester where she was pronounced dead.
