Police in Milton are warning residents to take precautions amid an “influx” of car break-ins over recent weeks.
The department said the spike in thefts, which have largely taken place between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., has included the theft of three vehicles. Police cautioned that the break-ins can occur at “any time of day.”
“The group of suspects seem to [be] semi-organized and utilize dark clothing, facemask, gloves, and carry backpacks/bags,” the department said.
The department released images and videos of the suspects and encouraged residents to make sure cars are locked when unattended and parked in well-lit areas, and to not leave valuables in vehicles.
“If residents encounter or observe any suspicious activity, please call the Milton Police via 911 or our non-emergency phone number of 617-698-3800,” the department said.
