A Mashpee woman died Saturday after being involved in a single-car crash on I-495 in Bridgewater.
Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to the crash at about 3:18 p.m. on Saturday. They determined that a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu traveling southbound on the highway went into the wooded median and rolled over, officials said in a release.
Lana Testa, 74, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was riding as a passenger in the vehicle, which was being driven by a 79-year-old Mashpee man. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
Officials have not determined why the vehicle went into the median. An investigation is ongoing.
The left lane of the southbound side of I-495 near exit 19B was closed for almost four-and-a-half hours, police said.
