Around 1 p.m., the MBTA said shuttle buses would replace service between JFK/UMass and Ashmont while crews inspected the tracks for damage.
The T said maintenance personnel were making track repairs “and working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible,” just before 3 p.m.
Just before 5 p.m., the shuttle buses were phased out, and regular service resumed between JFK and Ashmont. The Mattapan Trolley operated as scheduled throughout the delay.
