32-year-old Ipswich woman killed in Maine crash

The crash occurred Saturday afternoon in Limington, Maine.

A 32-year-old Ipswich, Massachusetts, woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash in Limington, Maine, which is about 25 miles west of Portland.

Casey Lubell was a rear passenger in a Subaru Impreza that was traveling on Route 11 shortly after noon, according to Maine State Police. At Route 11’s intersection with Route 117, the Impreza, a Lexus RX300 traveling the other direction on Route 11, and a Jeep Cherokee going north on Route 117 collided. Police are still investigating what led up to the crash.

Besides Lubell, who was pronounced dead at the scene, three others in the Impreza were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. The driver of the Lexus was also taken to a hospital with injuries, police said.
