A 20-year-old man died from an apparent drowning at a reservoir in Marlborough Sunday afternoon, officials announced.
The man was fishing with friends when he went under the water and did not resurface at Fort Meadow Reservoir, according to a spokesperson from the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
The reservoir is located between Marlborough and Hudson.
Marlborough police and fire departments responded to the reservoir and located the victim. He was transported to Marlborough Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The spokesperson for the DA’s Office said an investigation into the death is ongoing.
