A 24-year-old Cambridge woman is dead following a crash between her bike and a box truck in the city on Friday morning.
The crash occurred at about 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Hampshire and Portland streets, according to a release from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
“The preliminary investigation suggests that both the truck and the bicycle were traveling in the same direction on Hampshire Street and the truck was turning right onto Portland Street at the time of the crash,” authorities said.
The woman was taken to Mass General, where she later died. The crash remains under investigation.
