Plymouth police are asking for the public’s help as an extensive search is underway to locate a 69-year-old man with dementia.
Rodney Riviello was last seen at about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. He was leaving the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and heading toward the Jabez Corner, Plymouth police said in a statement.
Riviello is a heavy-set white male. He is bald and was last seen wearing a collared striped shirt, blue shorts, and possibly a Yankees baseball hat, according to police.
Wednesday evening, police released a picture of a silver Nissan Armada that picked up a passenger while exiting the driveway of Beth Israel Deaconess at about 12:30 p.m.
Police said the vehicle “may or may not” be related to Riviello.
The car headed toward the rotary at Plymouth North High School, police said.
“Dozens” of officers were looking for Riviello Tuesday afternoon, and the search effort was extended out to five miles from the hospital.
Police are asking residents to check their properties and search “anywhere that a person could be.”
“We would also ask that residents review their Ring/CCTV cameras to see if they have any footage of Mr. Riviello walking by,” Plymouth police said.
Anyone with information about Riviello’s whereabouts should call 911 or Plymouth police at 508-830-4218. The driver of the Nissan or anyone who recognizes the vehicle is asked to call 508-796-1212.
