The woman shot and killed in Dorchester last month has been identified as a 27-year-old from Taunton, Boston police announced Wednesday.
Pereshah Shear-Yashub was found with life threatening gunshot wounds near 36 Edson Street on May 31. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
Shear-Yashub leaves behind her mother and multiple siblings, according to a brief obituary.
Police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and anyone with any information should call detectives at 617-343-4470. Anyone looking to remain anonymous should call the tip line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
