Officials identify driver who died in fiery expressway crash

State Police have identified the victim in Wednesday morning’s deadly crash at Frontage Road in Boston, when a car hit a concrete barrier on the Mass. Ave Connector and fell 40 feet to an exit ramp below.

Casey Brown, 31, of Plymouth was driving on the Mass. Ave Connector around 9:40 a.m. when he struck the side of the intersection, police said. After plunging 40 feet, the car landed upside down and became engulfed in flames.

Medical personnel pronounced Brown dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
