Body found at wastewater plant in Brockton

Workers discovered the man’s body, which officials believe was in the water for several days.

The body of an adult man was discovered Friday morning at a Brockton wastewater treatment plant, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced.

Brockton DPW workers called 911 around 8:15 a.m. Friday after discovering the body in the water at the wastewater plant located at 303 Oak Hill Way.

Cruz said the identity of the man is not currently known, and it appears the body had been in the water for several days.

No foul play is suspected, but an investigation is underway by state and Brockton police.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took the body and will determine the manner and cause of death, Cruz said.
