Authorities are investigating the death of a 4-month-old boy in Leominster last week.
A spokesperson for the Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early’s office said the infant died May 14. The office is conducting a death investigation, the spokesperson said.
The Department of Children and Families is also investigating after they received a report about the incident, a spokesperson said Monday night.
First responders were called to the Whitney Street Apartment complex at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, Boston 25 News reported.
The boy appeared to be in cardiac arrest and paramedics were able to revive him as they transported him to a hospital, the news outlet reported. He was later pronounced dead.
The Leominster Fire Department referred questions from Boston.com to the D.A.’s office.
No further information was available Monday night.
