Two boys arrested in connection to Worcester 14-year-old’s shooting death

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested in connection to last week's shooting death of a 14-year-old, Worcester police said.

Two boys were arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 14-year-old on Friday, Worcester police said.

Officers responded to a lower Belmont Street neighborhood home around 4:15 p.m. to a report of a possible shooting victim. They found a 14-year-old boy with a serious gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics, according to police.

Worcester detectives began investigating and arrested a 16-year-old at 12:15 a.m. the next day, police announced Saturday.

Another male juvenile was arrested Monday, Worcester police announced. A spokesperson for Worcester police confirmed the second person arrested is 16 years old.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information can send an anonymous message to Worcester police or call 508-799-8651.
