State Police are investigating after a car was struck by a bullet Wednesday afternoon on I-93 in Braintree in what investigators say was a “potential road rage incident.”
Troopers responded around 2:50 p.m. to the call for a car struck by a bullet on I-93 South. State police said the initial investigation indicates that the potential incident of road rage took place between the occupants of two vehicles on the northbound side of the interstate.
Police said a person in one of those vehicles fired a round, which struck an uninvolved car on the southbound side of the highway. The male driver of the car that was struck suffered a minor injury and refused transport to a hospital, police said.
Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
