A rollover crash in Norwood on Tuesday resulted in serious injuries and caused a utility pole to come down, authorities said.
Norwood police said the crash occurred in the area of University Avenue and Route 1.
Police told The Boston Globe that the crash happened around 10:40 a.m. when a red pickup truck traveling west on University Avenue struck a white car that was heading east. The drivers had to be extricated from the vehicles by first responders; one was flown by helicopter to a Boston hospital while the other was transported by ambulance, according to the Globe.
Police asked the public to avoid the area as first responders worked to clear the scene.
