A person was med-flighted to Mass General Hospital with “traumatic injuries” Monday morning after falling off a horse in Plympton, officials said.
The Plympton Fire Department first said in a Facebook post it was “operating an incident” at about 11 a.m.
A 13-year-old girl fell from her horse on Palmer Road just prior to 10 a.m., authorities told Boston 25 News.
Officials asked people to avoid the area as Boston MedFlight was called to land on the Ballfield Landing Zone behind the fire station.
The girl was taken to Mass General Hospital with “traumatic” injuries, the department said in a statement about an hour later.
The Plympton Fire Department was not able to be reached by phone for additional details about the incident Monday afternoon.
