Man arrested in connection with Worcester shooting that injured 3 teens

Levon Atupem, 23, is the second man facing charges in connection with the Sunday night shooting.

A 23-year-old Holden man is facing charges in connection with a Sunday night shooting in Worcester that sent three teens to the hospital.

Levon Atupem was arrested around 3:02 a.m. on Wednesday by Worcester police in the area of Park Avenue on an active warrant related to the shooting, police said. He is charged with three counts of assault to murder with a firearm, accessory before the fact, and accessory after the fact.

Atupem is the second man police have arrested and charged in connection with the shooting. On Monday, 19-year-old Jordany Alejo of Worcester was arrested and charged with three counts of armed assault to murder, according to police.

Police responded to the shooting on Clarkson Street on Sunday around 9:11 p.m. At the scene, police found two 18-year-old women and a 17-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds. The teens received medical aid from first responders at the scene and were taken to a hospital by ambulance

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.
