Police investigating after 18-year-old dies in Wilmington crash

Police are investigating a car accident that left an 18-year-old dead on Saturday, officials announced. 

Kevin Stano, of Wilmington, died after crashing into a telephone pole Saturday afternoon, according to a statement by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office. 

The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Industrial Way in Wilmington, according to the statement. 

Initial investigation suggests Stano lost control of the vehicle driving around a bend and struck a telephone pole. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said. 

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Wilmington Police Department, the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, and the Crime Scene Services Section are investigating the incident.
