Motorcyclist killed in Dorchester crash

Police responded to Dorchester Avenue and King Street on Sunday night.

A motorcyclist died after being involved in a crash in Dorchester on Sunday night, according to police. 

Officers responded to the area of Dorchester Avenue and King Street at 8:35 p.m., according to the Boston Police Department. The initial investigation indicates that a man riding a motorcycle struck another vehicle there. 

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released his identity. 

Video footage from Boston 25 News shows a motorcycle with an orange Grubhub logo on it surrounded by debris at the crash scene.

An investigation is ongoing. It is not clear if any criminal charges will be filed.
