A bus headed from Hubbardston Center School had to be evacuated Wednesday afternoon after it got stuck on the side of the road.

The bus driver pulled over on the side of New Templeton Road because students were reportedly “acting up.” But, the side of the road was swampy and muddy, causing the bus to get stuck, according to local police.

As seen in photos, the bus sank to a 45-degree angle on one side.

Hubbardston police and fire responded to the scene. None of the 33 passengers were injured, and another bus came to finish the route. The bus was towed by a Gardner-based company.
