N.H. school bus driver and his wife accused of producing child porn

Paul Baird and his wife Krystal allegedly produced images of a nude man with a young girl, which were posted on a "dark web chat site," prosectors say.

A New Hampshire couple is accused of producing sexual material with children, the state’s U.S. Attorney announced Wednesday.

43-year-old Paul Baird, who drives a school bus for a local school district, and 38-year-old wife Krystal Baird both appeared in federal court Wednesday. Prosecutors said they searched the Baird residence Wednesday in Keene, N.H. and arrested the couple.

According to federal prosecutors, Paul was active on dark web chat sites viewing images of girls from ages 4 to 14 “as early as” November of last year. Earlier this month, Paul then posted three child porn images to the website, officials said.

According to Boston 25 News, court documents say that Paul uploaded images of what appeared to be a nude man with a young girl to other users on the website. Another court document says Krystal took sexually expletive photos of a child with Paul because she didn’t want to anger him by refusing, 25 News reported.

As of Wednesday, Paul is a bus driver employed by the Student Transportation of America, which was contracted to serve students in the Contoocook Valley School District, prosecutors said. In a statement, Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders said Paul was not an employee of the district.

“The safety and security of our students is our utmost concern. We will be reviewing our transportation safety protocols beginning immediately,” Rizzo Saunders said. “Additionally, the District will begin an immediate review with STA of their policies and practices, to ensure that our students are afforded the highest level of protection and that STA employees reflect the shared values of our district.”

Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information should call the New England Field Division of the Homeland Security Investigations at 603-629-2716.
