Police investigating after body pulled from Charles River

The victim has not yet been identified.

Police are investigating after a body was pulled from the Charles River near the Massachusetts Avenue bridge Tuesday, officials said. 

The State Police Marine Unit and Dive Team recovered a body that was seen east of the bridge in the Charles on Tuesday, a police spokesperson told Boston.com.

An investigation is ongoing. The identity of the victim has not been released. 

“We have nothing further we can release right now,” the spokesperson said.
