28-year-old woman dies after being hit by car in Revere

The woman was walking near Squire Road in Revere on Sunday morning when she was struck.

A woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Revere last weekend.

Revere police responded first Sunday morning to 169 Squire Road. State Police and investigators from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office responded just after 9:30 a.m., according to a State Police spokesperson.

The woman who died was a 28-year-old. Her identity has not been released yet, as authorities are attempting to notify her next of kin, the Suffolk DA’s office said.

The driver remained at the scene, and no criminal charges have been filed related to the incident.

A pizza restaurant called Nick’s Bistro is located at 169 Squire Road.

The victim was a recent immigrant from Ecuador who was leaving work at a nearby supermarket, NBC10 Boston reported. She was living alone in Revere, trying to make money to support her family, including a 2-year-old child.
