Human remains found in Great Barrington last month were identified as those of 47-year-old Sascha Cameron, officials announced Friday.
The remains were found Feb. 23 approximately 20 feet in the woods surrounding the Mahaiwe Cemetery in Great Barrington, according to a statement by the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office. They were discovered by a person who was walking his dog, according to the statement.
Cameron’s cause of death is not yet known, but foul play is not suspected, officials said. Cameron resided in Great Barrington.
The Great Barrington Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and the Berkshire District Attorney’s State Police Detective Unit responded to the incident.
